Houston, TX – In celebration of National Pet Day on April 11, Natural Pawz is donating 100,000 pounds of dog food to Houston-area pet shelters and rescue groups, resulting in the largest pet food donation on record in the City of Houston. Valued at approximately $250,000, this enormous amount of pet food is expected to feed a whopping 5,000 dogs for 6-8 weeks.

Major donations have been made already to the City of Houston (BARC), The Houston Humane Society and Rescue Bank, which is a food bank for rescue groups in the Houston area. Additionally, Natural Pawz expects 18 rescue groups from all over the Houston area that help care for dogs looking for a forever home. Each group is expected to bring some dogs, which will be a great opportunity to see a variety of dog breeds available all in one place.
