One of the biggest challenges of packing for a month or two of travelling is narrowing down what beauty and skincare products to take.

If you do enough preparation before your travels then you shouldn't have to bring so much though, so we have some tips to help.

Exfoliating all over in the lead up will leave your skin smooth and soft - the perfect base for sun cream. It will also make you less likely to get dry skin while on the road, especially if you apply plenty of moisturiser. Get a good scrub and body mop/brush to use while you're in the shower, and don't forget your feet - you'll be on them a lot while away and don't want them to let you down.

You'll want to get fuzz free before you jet off as well and to get lasting effects, waxing is a good option. Of course this does mean letting your hair grow a bit first, but it will last you up to six weeks. Or you could plan in advance (and by advance, we mean around six months) and use laser hair removal to get completely hair-free, bonus here is that it will last for years not weeks! With eyebrows, threading will work wonders and keep those pesky hairs at bay. As for your bikini line, if you're not a fan of waxing, try a razor like Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Bikini.

So now your body is ready, how to maintain it while you're away? To keep your skin nourished get a hold of a moisturising after-sun which will soothe any sun burn you may have and if you opt for one with aloe vera or tea tree it in, you'll also fend off bugs.

Make-up remover wipes are also a must for those days you do doll yourself up for a night out, and they can also be used as a quick freshen up between showers. A good, compact deodorant is important as well, just make sure it's an invisible one to save you washing out white stains! Sure Maximum Protection will keep you feeling fresh all day long.

Worried about shampoo getting everywhere in your bag? Why not opt for a solid option, which can last up to 80 washes! All you do is wet your hair and stroke the bar down it a few times to get some lather, then do your own thing.

It goes without saying that sunscreen is super important, factor 30 or above, and antihistamines will also prevent you from suffering from severe hay fever or allergies and help ease any bites you may get.
