As if you need any convincing to want to live on the beach, right? Well, nevertheless here is a list of reasons why living on the coast is amazing.
1. Sea water is really good for you
There are countless benefits to being in sea water. It’s healing for any skin conditions or injuries because of the salt and all the minerals that are in it.
2. Swimming is great exercise
And it’s one of the few exercises people love to do. You enjoy it immensely and even if you don’t over exert yourself you’re still working your muscles.
3. The sun is healthy
Well ok not too much of it of course but in healthy quantities and with adequate protection you will be able to reap all the positive benefits (like vitamin D) and avoid the negative side effects (like sunburn).
4. It’s peaceful
It’s very hard to be overly stressed on the coast. There is something about the heat in the summer and listening to the waves hit the empty beaches in winter that brings peace and tranquillity.
5. Beach parties
Who doesn’t love beach parties? Everyone does of course. Whether you’re drinking a nice glass of wine on the beach or playing beer pong during spring break there is something special about partying on the beach.
6. It never gets too cold
There is no real harsh winter. It gets colder but you never have to wear six layers of thermos clothing topped off with a scarf, winter hat and mittens. You simply wear something a bit warmer.
7. It’s romantic
If you’re in a relationship or are looking for one, there is no better place to be dating than on the coast. You get to enjoy long walks on the beach, go skinny dipping if you’re feeling cheeky or go to a lovely restaurant in light clothing while watching the sun set in to the sea. What can be better than that.
8. The food is great
Pretty much everywhere there’s beaches there is also a great climate for growing produce. And if you have good ingredients you can make good food. Almost every costal region is known for its diverse and delicious cuisine. So enjoy the tastes.
9. You’re always tanned
You don’t need to visit tanning salons or use fake bronzer (more like oranger to be honest). You will have a healthy and natural tan all year long without spending a dime. It is also much healthier as long as you take safety measures when going in to the sun.
10. You get to meet interesting people
The good thing about the beach is that there will be a lot of tourists during holiday season. That may be an annoyance for some but it gives you the chance to meet interesting people from all over the world and experience different cultures without having to go everywhere. Plus, most people are very open and happy to chat when on vacation so you shouldn’t have any problems making a connectionn.
