Folds of Honor Western PA is the 26th and newest chapter of Folds of Honor Foundation, headquartered in Owasso, OK. In 2019, we saw an opportunity to bring Folds of Honor to the Western PA region. We became an official chapter in the fall and began to look at different ways to fundraise to support the needs. Last year, the Western PA region had 45 total recipients awarded scholarships in the amount of $213,700. Our chapter was built to bring awareness to the region for the needs of our Military Families. Our mission, Honor Their Sacrifice, Educate Their Legacy is why we volunteer to support the spouses and children of our Military. We’re proud of what we’ve started to accomplish in such a short time and we’re looking forward to continuing to expand the awareness across the region.

The Western PA Chapter covers a region rich in both Military History and support. Our region is diverse, but strong and covers cities like Altoona, Erie, Pittsburgh, State College and all towns in between. Fundraising to support the needs of the region is extremely important. There are charitable events we’re planning in the next 6 months. Our largest event will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, PA. Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, rated a four-star charity by Charity Navigator and platinum on GuideStar, that provides educational scholarships to the families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States armed forces. Our educational scholarships support private educational tuition and tutoring for children in grades K-12, as well as higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents. Founded in 2007, Folds of Honor is proud to have awarded approximately 24,500 scholarships in all 50 states and some US territories, including over 4,500 in 2019 alone.
