Installation and setup
Follow these simple steps to set up your Zebra Eltron Thermal Transfer Printer to print on rolls of labels.

Close the Stamps.com software.
Connect the printer to your computer using a USB, serial, or parallel cable and turn on the printer.
Download and install the "Zebra Designer" driver from the Zebra website.
(Zebra GC420t) If you are installing a Zebra GC420t Thermal Printer, follow the configuration steps in this guide.
Open the Start menu and select "Devices and Printers", "Printers" or "Printers and Faxes".
Right-click on your Zebra Designer printer and select "Printing Preferences".
Select the "Options" tab. Make sure the size is set to width 4 and height 6.
Load the label roll and press the Advance button to advance to the next full label.
Open the Stamps.com software and select the label roll from the "Printing On" or "Print Media" drop-down menu (see image below).
Click the "Print Sample" button.

Offset printing and/or feeding multiple labels at once
To solve this problem, simply calibrate the printer. To do this:

Open the Start menu and select "Devices and Printers", "Printers" or "Printers and Faxes".
Right-click on your Zebra Designer printer and select "Printing Preferences".
Select the "Advanced Settings" tab and then click the "Calibrate" button in the lower right corner (see image below). The printer feeds two labels and calibrates them for the label being used.

Return to the Stamps.com software and select the label roll from the "Printing On" or "Print Media" drop-down menu (see image below).
Click the "Print Sample" button.
If that doesn't work, click the following link to download and install the latest version of the Stamps.com software. Stamps.com Software - Free Download. When this is done, try printing the label again. The latest version of the software improves compatibility with certain Zebra Eltron thermal printers.

Print black bars on labels
When Zebra Eltron thermal printers print black bars on labels, this is usually caused by a corrupted or incompatible printer driver. To solve this problem, we recommend that you install a new copy of the printer driver by following the Installation and Setup Guide.

Labels now print correctly. If this does not solve the problem, contact customer support.

print upside down
When Zebra Eltron thermal printers print upside-down images on labels, there are two reasons why this happens.

The first cause of this problem is incorrect settings in the printer driver. To fix this, do the following:
Open the Start menu and select "Devices and Printers", "Printers" or "Printers and Faxes".
Right-click on the Zebra Eltron printer icon and select "Printing Preferences".
Change the "Rotate 180°" setting in the "Options" tab by checking or unchecking it (see image below).
Click "OK" and then print a sample label. Labels now print correctly.
