History, we learn, is always created by the tough efforts of unsung heroes. A number of positive efforts created by the persons, who worked from backstage throughout life and their works provided an integrated boost to society. Yes! In the history of freedom struggle of India, a lot of person invested their whole life.
Great freedom fighter Nazim Ali was among them. He was a strong man who took birth on 01 Jan 1896 on historical land of village Teari; district Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh). His childhood studies done in primary school Teari and in his young age he was inspired by the wave blowing to make India free from British rule. He joined Indian National Congress in 1916 and started struggle for freedom. At this time he was just 20 years of age. The way he selected, was full of dangers and struggle but he never thought on this aspect. His fast and active works for freedom of the country, pierced British government and for the first time he arrested in 1919 and jailed for 6 month. After severe imprisonment, he added pace to his works and started arranging meetings as secret mission.

British government hit listed him and in 1921 he was again arrested and this time jailed for one year. After this attempt, a series of his arrests was started and on frequent intervals. In this process, he could not complete his studies. He struggled for unbroken 27 years and jailed on a number of times during this period. During personal SATYAGRAH, in 1940 and 1941 he again jailed for 9 months at two times.

During his struggle for independence, once he climbed on the dome of municipal office Sultanpur with National Flag. British soldiers were threatening him to shot down but he managed to climb and flown national flag of India. His courage gifted him severe and difficult imprisonments. In this process he underground for some years and migrated to Myanmar. He joined Azad Hind Fauj there and started his works. For survival, he also worked there as teacher in a local school. During Quit India Movement he was jailed severely and later transferred to Naini Central Jail, Allahabad. In 1945, he was again sent to jail for 2 months. After one year, when he released, late Lal Bahadur Shastri brought him back to Sultanpur. He was courageous and frank on the religious issues being raised by Muslim extremists. His contribution to make politics free from various religious issues will always be remembered. At many times he expressed his grief on increasing discrimination and diminishing values in national politics. For a strong solution of dispute free politics, he worked on many levels and interacted at several platforms. He was in close touch with top political order because he was one of senior freedom fighters and wanted to keep the original mission of freedom struggle in politics.

His ideas for reforms in religious system as well as in political system often made hurdles in his way but he never left any stone unturned. Through this article, I just want to appeal that the freedom we are enjoying is very hardly earned. It would be ultimate if we take oath to protect our national interest at all cost irrespective of living in diversity too. Just remember of national heroes, sung or unsung, doesn't matter but it is must to learn lessons from their glorious and tough past. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!!
