A neighbor of mine went through an adult removal of tonsils surgery. One of her comments was, "It was warm and soothing over my throat/neck area. The strangest thing was that after the treatment, I felt relaxed and pain-free instantly." My Reiki experience was shortly after I had my thyroid removed, which brought me awful side effects. Reiki helped me personally after my surgery. I feel blessed to have had a healer. She has touched my life in more ways than one.
We are coming into a time of awakening in the world with lots of talk about envisioning and positive affirmations. Being a firm believer in the power of "The Secret", I believe that we attract whatever it is that we focus on in our lives. Keep this in mind and think about it... when wonderful things happen and you are truly happy. Do you ever notice the snowball effect of really great happenings or experiences? The same goes with the opposite. When you fall out of tune with positive energy, less than wonderful circumstances arise.
Positive affirmations are a wonderful tool in this world to help you get to the visions and dreams, but you must understand that you always need to look within and see what needs healing first. It is imperative that you honor the parts of your life that need healing. Without the step of embracing any pain in your life and healing it, you're essentially masking it with positive thoughts that won't have the strength to overcome what's necessary to support you.
