Cybersecure It, a student-led cybersecurity education organization, is making significant strides in empowering the next generation of digital defenders. As a certified non-profit, the organization has demonstrated remarkable growth and impact, thanks to the dedication of its 7 passionate team members, along with 2 experienced advisors.

Since its inception, Cybersecure It has expanded its reach across multiple countries and 5 US states, establishing a strong presence in the field of cybersecurity education. Through collaborations with 3 other student-run initiatives, spanning domains from financial literacy to female empowerment in STEM, Cybersecure It has fostered a global network of like-minded organizations and individuals working towards a safer digital future.

Central to their mission is the development of original and comprehensive cybersecurity curricula. To date, Cybersecure It has successfully created two fully original courses (fully accessible via its website), complemented by corresponding workshops. These courses have been distributed to over 1000 students across 8+ schools, through a collaboration with a school district in Washington. Furthermore, Cybersecure It has conducted in-person programs at multiple community centers, offering hands-on training to students eager to learn about the world of cybersecurity.

The impact of the organization’s work goes beyond local communities. Their cybersecurity course is used as a base for the learning standards of a proposed WA state-wide cybersecurity graduation requirement effort currently being pushed.
