Family Fun Veterans Benefit Event At Morris Meadows in Baltimore Maryland

Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.

 
Baltimore, Maryland – Basignani Winery , a local winery in Reisterstown, MD, is a proud sponsor of the upcoming veteran’s benefit event on June 13th, 2015 at the Morris Meadows Complex, a wedding and corporate events venue located at 1333 Morris Rd, Freeland, MD 21053, 20 minutes north of Towson, MD. The event is free to the public; however, donations are welcome to support The Fisher House Foundation.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised for this event will go to the Fisher House Foundation, an organization assisting wounded warriors returning home and their families find housing at select Fisher House locations across the United States and Europe.

Basignani is joined by Stages Music Arts in sponsoring this event, as well as some local craft vendors and small businesses. Tabitha’s House Consignment Shop of Bel Air, Maryland will feature discounted clothes and housewares.

The event will feature local musicians, some of whom are veterans. Musical styles showcased will include New Orleans’s-style jazz, blues, and rock. A 20’x30’ raised stage, lights, speakers, and recording/sound equipment is being provided by Stages Music Arts of Cockeysville, Maryland. Musicians and bands provided by (BMMG) Blue Mountain Music Group, an independent music label and artist management agency located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs in order to enjoy the music and beautiful, rolling hills of the Morris Meadows Complex grass amphitheater. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or by the bottle, courtesy of Basignani Winery. A food truck will provide concessions such as hot dogs, funnel cake, cotton candy, sodas and water, and much more.

Family activities will include volleyball, cornhole toss, and badminton, in addition to face painting for children.

Veterans or active military attending are encouraged to dress in full uniform. Children and adults will be able to sit in and take pictures of a World War II Jeep. Tents, historical memorabilia, and other military artifacts will be on display, courtesy of Merlin Hanson of Hanson Mechanical in Westminster, Maryland.

The event starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. There will be raffles, as well as crafts available for purchase from local vendors.
