We see the models on TV ads, magazines and on the runway. There are models that show their stuffs while displaying them off with the clothes designed by the hottest designers of fashion world. It is the photographer which helps to bring these models and designer clothes to the public. The modeling photography also plays a significant role of the success of designs as well as models. There are high fashion photographers that pay special attention on color, style, lighting and composition. Although high fashion photographers might not get the fame than the models they shoot but they get special attention of designers and models which is a key step for their success.

Capturing the images of immobile object is very hard as it is. So what will happen if you ask a model to behave as a subject? If you have a model for photo shoot who is experienced, this would be easy for you as half of your work will be done. But if you and the model both are newbie in your fields, there are some tips will help you to produce a good photograph even if you are amateur.

Tips for a beginner to create best pictures
1. Don’t be late in photo shoot: This is important for the photographer to come prepared in photo shoot on time and build a great understanding with the model. Before the model arrives, come with all your necessary equipments and plan your setup. Tell the model about your art direction prior to start so that the model can practice some poses and expressions. Also discuss with the models about clothes and accessories, hair style and makeover, and tattoos. If time permits, build a strong understanding with your model by having a casual one-to-one discussion. Go for the shoot in a location where you both can feel good and relaxed to continue shooting.
2. Have an ambient setup: Make sure what kind of environment that suits your model. Consider first if he/she like what type of music, lighting, privacy, distractions and temperature. There are a lot more things that needs to consider first to take into account.
3. Good communication is necessary: Vogue comments like “Turn around and I’ll take pictures” or “Do whatever you want” can simply frustrate the model. Rather than being silent, get involved with the model to tell her what you are looking for by showing pictures from magazines or websites on what you are looking for. In addition, also ask the model for any opinion or any insightful tips and suggestions.
4. Keep moving: Just like the model, you should also have to change the angles to frame perfect shoot. You might have to bend over, kneel down or lie on the floor to get perfect pictures.
5. Stay confident: Try always to look confident even if it is your life’s first photo shoot. Models can tell you if you are not looking confident. It may hurt your reputation. So, be positive about your skills and knowledge as a photographer. If it is your first time, don’t let the model show the same.
