HOMESTEAD, FL—Brian Bissonnette is a man with vast military experience that serves him well in every capacity. He served in an intelligence capacity with the United States Army for over two decades. During his tenure, he learned several key skills that carried over into his civilian career. He gained valuable experience in strategic planning, organizational change, resource allocation and administration, intelligence, fundraising, and more. During his multiple roles over the course of his career, he developed expertise in key areas, including:

Bissonnette is no longer an active member of the military, but he still continues to serve in a civilian capacity. Currently, he is a department chair and professor of military science at Southern University and A&M College in Florida. In this role, he serves several vital functions, including:

·Providing a dynamic learning environment for students, which includes real-life learning experiences and interactive instruction
·Forming strategic partnership with alumni and other organizations to fulfill the university’s mission and fund important academic initiatives
·Providing administrative oversight to other faculty and staff members in the department
·Managing and assessing the efficacy of teams of personnel
·Providing leadership regarding admissions and recruitment

Additionally, Brian Bissonnette serves as the central manager and facilitator of the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) office at the university. Here, he provides leadership and mentoring capabilities to other young visionaries that aspire to be future military and civilian leaders.

At his time at the university, Bissonnette successfully secured over $50,000 to further the department’s mission. He led a cultural understanding and language proficiency initiative in Angola, Africa, based on his expertise and intense study of the culture and history of the region.
