Dubai, UAE: Top global manufacturers of hand tools, power tools, high-tech components and machines are getting ready to display their wares at the Middle East’s premier trade fair for building materials and construction machinery in Dubai this month.

Regular and debut exhibitors alike from around the world are lining up to take part at Hardware + Tools Middle East 2017, which takes place from 22-24 May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Leading brands will deliver live demonstrations at the three-day event’s Expert Zone, a dedicated area showcasing the latest innovative solutions that are shaping the future of tools used for all types of industries, from construction and oil & gas, to outdoor landscaping and DIY solutions.

The exclusive area will feature names ubiquitous in household sheds and professional contractor equipment trucks alike, with the likes of Bosch Power Tools and Wiha from Germany, Japanese manufacturers Hitachi and Nitto Kohki, and American multinational 3M among the headline names getting ready to display their latest product lines.

“Hardware + Tools Middle East’s Expert Zone showcases exciting new trend-setting and leading edge developments in a dedicated section to regional industry representatives and trade buyers,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the organiser of Hardware + Tools Middle East. “The section is a must-visit for buyers who are looking for out-of-the-box solutions to their specific hardware and tools requirements.”

Established in 1948 in Japan, Hitachi is one of world’s leading power tool manufacturers by offering innovative, high-performance, high-quality products and services. The debut Hardware + Tools Middle East exhibitor will present its cutting-edge exhibits, including its Brushless Range of Demolition Hammers, Brushless Cordless Drive Drill and Brushless Rotary Hammer Drill.

“We’ll showcase a wide range of reliable and user-friendly power tools used widely in the Construction, Steel Fabrication, Metal Working and Wood Working industries,” said Ichiro Komagata, General Manager of the Hitachi Koki Gulf Branch. “The majority of Hitachi’s tools comply with ecologically friendly standards and contribute to a better greener society.

“The Middle East and Africa is important to us as we are focusing on emerging markets, where the potential for growth is tremendous and opportunities for business expansion is voluminous.”

With a range of hand tools specifically designed for safe usage in the high voltage conditions is Wiha, who are multiple winners of the Red Dot Award for excellence in design for their hand tool range. Managing Director, Sumit Kumar Chordia said that the company was expecting excellent outcomes from their participation this year.

Also prominent among the Expert Zone exhibitors is Bosch, which returns after successful outings in earlier exhibitions. Indraneel Bhattacharya, National Sales Manager for Power Tools, at Central Motors & Equipment, the licensed distributor for Bosch Power Tools, said: “All the major civil contractors and oil and gas companies are among our key customers, and we always say the power tools industry is recession proof.

“For more than 100 years people have been using power tools and today they still use them. The technology changes but demand remains the same or only increases,” he said.

Hardware + Tools Middle East is a magnet for trade buyers from across the Middle East and North Africa, including distributors, retailers, exporters, importers, contractors, fabricators, consultants and industry professionals involved in the construction and industrial sectors.

The 18th edition will feature Country Pavilions from China, Thailand and Taiwan, and will host more than 185 exhibitors from 12 countries representing over 250 brands. More information is available at www.hardwaretoolsme.com.
