WHO WE ARE?
Be the Cure Registry is the first Indian public stem cell bank. It is an initiative by Jeevan to help Indians suffering from blood cancers and Indian babies with Thalassemia to get a quick match and an affordable treatment.

ABOUT JEEVAN STEM CELLS FOUNDATION
Since 2008, Jeevan operates the only active Public Cord Blood Bank, the largest in SAARC region with over 5600 units of stem cells ready for transplant. Jeevan also operates a Bone Marrow Donor Registry (2015) with over 3500 committed blood donors. Jeevan has facilitated over 83 transplants through the registries and free high resolution HLA typing services.

JOIN OUR REGISTRY
Bone Marrow Registry is a database of potential stem cell donors, whose Human Leucocyte Antigen (HLA) is typed by Jeevan and stored in a server. When a patient needs a donor, the matching donor is identified from the database. He / she is then counseled, medically examined and then encouraged to donate stem cells. These stem cells are used for the treatment of patients.

• Jeevan is committed to provide stem cells from donated cord blood free of cost to Indians with a family income of less than INR 5 Lakhs.
• Jeevan is also committed to curtail the cost of processing the stem cells from a bone marrow donor to less than 3 Lakhs.
• Others will be encouraged to make a donation to ensure sustainability.
In the past 6 months we got 4 potential donors and we need to scale this up to 30,000 cord blood units and 100,000 bone marrow donors before 2022 all over India at a cost of INR 100 Crores to help more Indians find a match and hope for cure.
