India all-rounder Hardik Pandya pretty well knows how to be in the news – be it for his swashbuckling performances, his controversial comments in the chat show – Koffee with Karan or announcing the arrival news of his first child. However, in a recent interview, he has praised his Mumbai Indians captain and India teammate, Rohit Sharma, a lot.

He said that Rohit is the man who has been able to get the best out of him since 2015. Pandya has been playing for Mumbai Indians under Rohit Sharma's captaincy since 2015 and has won the IPL title three times as well.

"I have always enjoyed playing with Rohit and he has been a great captain. We don't have much conversation about the game but I have had my best years playing under him," Pandya was quoted as saying by Mumbai Indians.

The all-rounder also said that star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is a "different character" altogether. Bumrah is one of the key players in the circuit across formats and also one of the best in the business right now in world cricket. While describing him, Hardik said, "He's calm and knowledgeable. He's someone who I enjoy being with. We have got success together and have genuinely shared that success."

Both Pandya and Bumrah came into the limelight initially due to their performances for Mumbai in the cash-rich Indian Premier League. Since then, they didn’t have to look back and became the familiar faces in the squad too for India in all formats of the game.

Meanwhile, Pandya has missed a few series of 2019 due to injury. Even, he was also expected to be in India's tour of New Zealand earlier this year before he went to the NCA for further rehab. Later, he was included for the ODI series against South Africa where the first game got washed out and then the rest of the games of the series got called off owing to the global pandemic novel coronavirus.
