Most people experience headaches due to their lifestyle and environmental factors. It can be due to weather conditions, too much caffeine in your system and lack of sleep. There are those prone to an inflammatory response. When your body doesn’t circulate blood effectively, it can prevent your brain from getting enough oxygen, hence the headaches.

While there are prescription medications that you can use to mitigate headaches, you can also do the following things to manage your condition:

1.Reduce your intake of caffeinated drinks.

Caffeine constricts the blood vessels in the blood, which prevents oxygen-rich blood from circulating effectively leading to headaches. Train yourself to go without caffeinated drinks. There are also a lot of commercial drinks that contain caffeine so even if you don’t drink coffee, you might be getting caffeine elsewhere such as soda and tea.

Increase your intake of water instead. Proper hydration helps in clearing toxins from your blood vessels and normalizing circulation.

2.Get more sleep.

You should not substitute caffeine with sleep. See to it that you are still getting enough sleep. Make changes to your sleeping habits. Go to bed early so you can wake up earlier in the morning. Your room should also be conducive to sleeping so you can get a better quality of sleep.

3.Reduce your exposure to glaring light.

Notice that if you stay outdoors for too long and that you are exposed to bright light and glare from the ocean or snow, you could get a headache.

4.Eat foods that are good for migraines and headaches sufferers.
