Atlanta, GA, August 14, 2013 -- Russ Thornton, a financial advisor with twenty years of experience and the founder of WealthCareForWomen.com, will be among the speakers at the Divorce 101 seminar, hosted at The Auditorium at South Terraces by Visions Anew, a charity that supports those going through the difficulty of divorce. Beginning at 8:30am this Saturday, the seminar will discuss both legal and finance matters surrounding divorce with a focus on financial advice for women. In addition to speaking with the audience on the topic of finances and divorce, Thornton will be holding thirty-minute one-on-one session with seminar participants to help them develop a better understanding of their finances.

Thornton specializes in advising women dealing with the financial fallout of divorce. His interest in the topic has a very personal root: The divorce of his parents. “The lack of reliable financial advice for divorcees, widows and independent women is why I became a financial planner focused on serving women,” Thornton says, noting that in the financial industry, there's little advice given to divorced women and less sympathy. As a result, Thornton has cultivated a client-first approach that helps women going through a divorce find their financial footing.

The seminar will be held August 17th, from 8:30am to 3:00pm, and has an entry fee of $89 per participant. The Auditorium at South Terraces can be found at 115 Perimeter Center Place in Atlanta, Georgia.
