The West Indies team is in India to play series against Afghanistan across all formats at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The 1st series of ODI in which West Indies defeated Afghanistan in all three matches and whitewashed the ODI series by 3-0.

Both the teams will meet each other at the same venue on 14th November to play three matches T20I series and after that, they will play one Test match at the same venue. West Indies after defeating Afghanistan in the ODI series will enter into the T20I as the favourites as they are also the defending champions in the shortest format of the game. The West Indies team was crowned champion in the T20 World Cup 2016 in India. Afghanistan National Cricket Team will have to show some efforts against the team keeping in mind the upcoming T20 World Cup 2020.

In the recently concluded series, Roston Chase was named Player of the series and Player of the Match awarded to Shai Hope for his brilliant knock of 109* in the final ODI that helped West Indies Cricket Team to win the series.

Keeping in mind the upcoming T20 World Cup 2020 both the teams will try to give their best and playing with the best combinations of the player to select the best squad for the upcoming mega event.
