The event was conducted in an online mode, and it went live on YouTube. 28th June 2021: Gyaannirudra successfully conducted another live session as part of their career awareness series whose theme was “Internet of Things - Helping you shape your career for success in the 21st century.” The expert for the session was Mr. Vinay Solanki, who has more than 17 years of experience in business development, sales, strategy, partner management, marketing, and engineering. He is currently GM & Head Digital Solution at Napino with prior experience working with Lenovo, Bharti Airtel, Goldman Sachs, IBM, TCS. Mr. Raunak Gupta, the Creator and crafter of Gyaannirudra had a deep discussion with Mr. Vinay. The discussion revolved around the importance of IoT (Internet of Things) and digital transformation for youth in exploring various career opportunities for their successful career journey.
About the event: The event was planned in a presentation format followed by some Q&A to bring out more fruitful insights for the youth in terms of their career planning. Mr. Vinay initially explained the basics and origin of IoT. He explained that IoT is basically a mode of communication between machines and humans. He talked about the digital technology ecosystem and value chain. He talked about how it enables businesses to fundamentally change or optimize the process and operations leading to a more efficient way of delivering value to customers. Then he talked about how businesses can also become more agile to learn fast and move forward by adopting these technologies.
Mr. Vinay also talked about various opportunities in the coming 5 years and then discussed the positive impacts of the pandemic and how businesses are reacting to it. Then he talked about his career mantra – ‘T’ shape career by 3L “Learn, Leverage and Lead.”
Then he answered some of the most important questions like – How can one understand that what basic skills are required to make a career in IoT? How to pick the right internship according to your career preference, and when is the right time to start getting hands-on experience through internships? Then he also talked about how one should project themselves on various social media platforms and how these social media platforms can help get career opportunities.
