23rd July 2021: Gyaannirudra successfully conducted its another live session of career awareness series whose theme was “How soft skills can make or break one’s career Journey?” The event was conducted in an online mode through YouTube live session. Expert Ms. Sakshi Chandraakar was invited as guest for the event, who is a personal and career branding coach and LinkedIn growth expert as well as a soft skills trainer. She is having more than 15 years of experience in coaching and training professionals from various fields to help them in building their strong personal brand and assisting them in getting success in their professional journey. Mr. Raunak Gupta, the Creator and crafter of Gyaannirudra, had a very deep conversation and discussion with Ms. Sakshi. The discussion revolved around the importance of soft skills in a student’s/professional’s life, and how does it help them in getting employability etc.
About the event: The discussion flourished in the direction of first understanding what is unemployability and what are various reasons for it, where is the lack between the job and job aspirants. She talked about unemployability as a result from the lack of knowledge or skills for which one can be paid. She also talked about the difference between employer’s need and employee skills. She also discussed about the reasons for this gap between them where she majorly emphasized on various points including that the current education system that is being followed across in the country is old and does not cater to the changing demands and skills required in these changing dynamics. She explained how one can conquer / bridge this gap by developing soft skills which will make them job ready.
She thoroughly explained and answered these questions – “What is soft skills? what is the importance of developing soft skills? How does language play an important role in Job interviews? How does it help in career growth? As a student what can one do to bridge the gap between the employer and employee needs? How can one work in upskilling their soft skills? How should a fresher work on getting a job? How can one focus on training/grooming oneself for job interviews? How to tackle something which is not of your interest?”
The discussion went around various other aspects of getting job ready and job requirements and how should one prepare for it?
