When we feel something unlikely about ourselves like we feel that we are sick, what we usually do is we go to the medicine cabinet and find a paracetamol. After two days if the illness still occurs we usually go to the Hospital and consult a Physician or directly call our Family Doctor for a consultation and after which we then ask for prescription for the medicine if applicable. When we approach the doctor we are commonly asked about what we feel, he will looked for a signs and symptoms that manifest in our body, checked our vital signs which includes the weight, blood pressure, pulse rate and heartbeat rate using their Physician Supplies and Equipment and then laboratory test is required for his complete diagnosis.
Medical Diagnosis pertains to a process of determining a condition of a person and explains his signs and symptoms. The Doctor will not provide Medical diagnostics result to a patient unless the patient will undergo different Medical test depending on the case of the patient. The process to get a medical test is simple because most of the hospitals already provide a flow chart, this is important so that the patient will know what are the next steps to be undertaken during the Doctor’s consultation and laboratory exams.
The process of consultation is easier when laboratory test is not required. However, it is mandatory mostly to cases when the patient suffered fever for more than two days or at least three days. It is mandatory because it is a simple sign of infection and there are diseases that are deadly when not immediately treated especially when the only signs and symptoms is high fever. It is advisable to consult a Doctor if this will occur before it is too late.
During the Laboratory test, the Medical Technician will ask you to sit in the phlebotomy chair or blood drawing chairbefore he will draw sample blood from you if blood is required. He will also give you small bottle for urine sample for urine test, stool sample for stool examination or sputum sample for the sputum test.
After the sample was taken, they will direct you to waiting area for the result of the exam and then diagnoses from the Doctor based on the result of the laboratory test.
To sum it up, we need to consult the doctor when high fever strikes and also when there are something unlikely that you feel or noticed about ourselves. Prevention is better than cure.
