Migration Skills Assessment via the accredited qualifications pathway for Engineers Australia is applicable for those Chinese Engineers who graduate in 2016 and later. Chinese Engineering Education Accreditation Association, provides the list of the accredited courses.
On 2nd of June 2016 at the International Engineering Alliance 2016 Meeting which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) was officially approved by the Washington Accord (WA) as a provisional signatory. China is the 18th signatory of Washington Accord. This great success became possible for China by improving the quality of engineering education, by enhancing quality of engineering training as per the international standards and by improving the skills of technical personnel.

International Engineering Alliance (IEA) governing mutual recognition of engineering qualifications and professional competence, with Six international agreements, including; the Sydney Accord, the Washington Accord, the Dublin Accord, the International Professional Engineers Agreement, the APEC Engineer Agreement and the International Engineering Technologist Agreement. Washington Accord is the most authoritative, internationalized and systemized. It was signed in 1989 by the professional engineering groups of the United States, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Washington Accord is an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting engineering degrees. Its objective was to provide equivalency of engineering education among its members, to improve the quality and lay the foundation for international mutual recognition of engineering qualifications.

Since 2005, China started its reforms to get engineering accreditation system. Vice President and Executive Secretary of CAST along his delegation consisting of members from related institutions in China attended the IEAM 2016 held in Kuala Lumpur and got this great approval for Chinese Engineers.
