Knowing when to change our air filter isn’t always easy.

Whenever we think the replacement filter for Flair needs to be changed, we should replace the air filter or the cabin filter. If we want to know when it’s time to replace the air filter, we should look for the following signs.

1. Decrease in Gas Mileage
One of the most common issues we will come across when we need to change the air filter is a decrease in our gas mileage. The engine requires good airflow to work properly. When the air filter is dirty, it’s harder to get the air in, and the engine has to work harder. If we have noticed recently that we have to fill up the gas tank more often than usual, it’s probably time to get the air filter checked.

2. Ignition Problems
When our engine air filter is dirty, the air can’t get through the filter to the engine, which affects the entire emission control system of the car. This, in turn, can gunk up the spark plugs, preventing them from sparking properly. Because of this, we may experience ignition problems. We should consider checking the filters to see if this is the problem.

3. Replacement Time
We need to check our owner’s manual; it should tell us when our air filter should be replaced. This is generally every 12,000 to 15,000 miles, depending on our machine. If we have driven more than that since the last time we replaced the air filter, it’s probably time to get it changed.

4. Visual Check
New air filters are usually either white or off white. We can visually check the Alpine repair air filter to see if it’s looking dirty or if it’s full of debris. We must keep in mind that sometimes an air filter can get clogged with particles that are too small to see. However, if we notice that the filter is gray or full of particles, it’s certainly time to replace it.

Getting the air filter changed is generally not an expensive repair by the Air Purifier Repair Center. It’s basic maintenance that we need to take care of regularly to keep our machine running great.
