Jubilant Biosys has been operating an advanced RapidFire 365 system for several years now. It is an advanced high throughput LC system coupled with an API-5500 mass spectrometer.

 
The RapidFire High-throughput mass spectrometry system (RF-MS/MS) facilitates drug discovery programs for challenging targets, which are difficult using conventional approaches. For an integrated discovery project, Biosys optimized the RF-MS/MS method in 96-well plate format to ensure analysis within a span of 21 minutes resulting in the per-sample run time of around 14 seconds.

RapidFire finds its major application in cellular and biochemical assays during the early-stage drug discovery process. The fast analysis of in-vitro screening of hundreds of library compounds in only a few days is highly useful in accelerating SAR optimization in drug discovery otherwise taking months together on traditional LC-MS/MS methods.
